Demmer Demireller Mermer Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. was established in 1969 as Ekrem Demirel Ocak İşletmesi in the Afyon İscehisar Örenaltı Marble Quarry, by Ekrem Demirel, as part of the Demirci Hacı Ömer Oğulları Companies Group, one of the strong organizations of the Turkish industrial sector, and has continued in the marble sector until today.

In 1983, it made its first export as marble blocks under the name Şuayp Demirel İthalat, İhracat ve Turizm. In 1984, our enterprises continued marble production, and on 03.08.1990, it took the name DEMMER A.Ş. and continues to contribute to the Turkish economy. Demmer Demireller Mermer Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. is established on a 110,000 m² area, with 30,000 m² of closed space, in the İscehisar marble industrial region, known as the heart of Turkish marbles, located at the 22nd km of the Afyon – Ankara highway. Demmer produces with its trained workforce, technology-following structure, innovative approach, in its modern factories, using stones sourced from its own quarries, providing quality, continuity, and high capacity worldwide according to demands. Today, Demmer has focused on beige and travertine production in line with demands. Currently, it operates 6 quarries for travertine, 4 quarries for marble, 7 quarries for beige, and 1 quarry each for limestone and sandstone. The total annual production of the quarries is approximately 160,000 m³. DEMMER A.Ş. processes 35% of this production in its own factories and offers it to the world market as semi-finished and finished materials. In 2011, Demmer A.Ş.'s export capacity was approximately 500-600 containers per month.
