STEAM ACCUMULATOR WITH STEAM DOM

Wenta Steam Generators are equipped with a steam drum to account for sudden steam drawdowns. This prevents temperature fluctuations during sudden steam drawdowns, extends the time between burner start-stop cycles to prevent frequent burner cycling, extends maintenance intervals, and ensures maximum fuel economy.

Wenta Steam Domes are designed as steam accumulation domes; thus, when steam from the dome begins to be used, the water present in the dome—which is at the boiling point—evaporates during the interval before the burner engages, meeting the current steam demand. In low-demand applications, the steam requirement is met without the burner ever operating.

OPTIONAL WENTA ECONOMIZER APPLICATION

WENTA economizers are devices that utilize the waste heat from flue gases to preheat feedwater in steam generators, thereby improving fuel efficiency and increasing generator output.

OPTIONAL DEGASSER APPLICATION

In steam systems, oxygen and carbon dioxide gases dissolved in the feedwater cause corrosion on metal surfaces in the form of pitting and erosion.

In WENTA degassers, these dissolved gases are automatically vented, thereby protecting the system. The feedwater is heated up to 102°C. By maintaining the feedwater at 102°C to remove oxygen and carbon dioxide and prevent temperature fluctuations in the steam generator, a fuel savings of 3% to 5% is achieved.
